The 2011 Telecom Laureate Awards Gala
We have already begun preparations for the 2011 Telecom Laureate Awards gala dinner and induction ceremonies. Nominate your favourite telecom pioneer and join us to celebrate great Canadian telecom achievements in November, 2011. The date and location of the 2011Telecom Laureate Awards gala will be announced early in 2011.
Our 2011 Telecom Laureate Awards gala promises to be as exciting as that of 2010, when we inducted high profile entrepreneurs, innovators, advocates and leaders into the Hall of Fame, including:
- Charles Sirois,
- John H. Bragg,
- Stephanie MacKendrick, and
- The late Major Bruce Carruthers.
The 2010 Hall of Fame's coveted Special Recognition Award was awarded to The TelecomPioneers of Canada, part of the largest industry-based volunteer organization in the world.

This is an evening you don't want to miss. The Telecom Laureate Awards gala is Canada 's Telecommunications Hall of Fame's annual flagship event to safeguard, promote and celebrate the past, present and future excellence of Canadian telecommunications. Featuring extensive networking reception opportuntites, speeches and awards presentations by key industry and government leaders, and high quality audio-visual staging and lighting, it is one of the few annual events where the industry can come together to celebrate its success and promote its future.
Networking
The 2010 Telecom Laureate Awards gala drew 350 senior executives from Canada's telecommunications carriers, independent telcos, VOIP and ISP providers, cable and satellite carriers, telecom equipment manufacturers, suppliers from the legal, accounting, banking and media communications industries, telecom customers and government policy making and regulatory officials, making it one of the key networking events of the year.
A black-tie optional event, the Telecom Laureate Awards is comprised of four parts – each providing excellent networking opportunities:.
- VIP Reception from 5:00pm - 5:45pm
- Cocktail Reception from 5:45 pm – 7:15 pm
- Telecom Laureate Awards Gala Dinner and Induction Ceremonies – 7:15 pm – 9:30 pm
- Dessert Reception – 9:30 pm – 10:15 pm
