Tickets are going fast for the
2008 Telecom Laureate Awards
Canada’s Telecom Laureates will be at the 2008 Telecom Laureate Awards on October 29, 2008 and you don’t want to miss them.
Joining the stars, will be a cast of ten bright new young stars – the winners of Canada’s Telecommunications Hall of Fame “Future Telecom Leaders Contest”.

In June, the Hall of Fame announced a new contest to encourage young Canadians to consider a career in telecom. Ten winners will attend the gala with the top 2 winning $1,500 scholarships. To enter, post-secondary Canadian students simply answer the question “How can Canada become a telecom leader in the next 10 years?” Students can submit essays or thought pieces, videos (e.g. YouTube), or audio recordings (podcasts). The deadline is fast approaching – September 30, 2008.

Les gagnants au concours et les récipiendaires de bourses seront présents au Gala des lauréats en télécommunications le 29 octobre 2008 au Musée canadien des civilisations. Ne ratez pas l’occasion de les rencontrer !
Aux stars de l’industrie se joindront dix jeunes étoiles montantes — les gagnants du Concours des futurs chefs de file des télécoms, organisé par le Temple de la renommée des télécommunications du Canada.

En juin, le Temple de la renommée annonçait la tenue d’un nouveau concours et l’octroi de bourses afin d’encourager les jeunes Canadiens à envisager une carrière en télécommunications. Les dix gagnants assisteront au gala en compagnie des deux récipiendaires des bourses de
1 500 $.
Pour participer au concours, les étudiants canadiens de niveau postsecondaire doivent simplement répondre à la question suivante : « Comment le Canada peut-il devenir un chef de file des télécommunications au cours des dix prochaines années ? ». Les étudiants sont invités à soumettre leur opinion en la matière sous forme de dissertations ou de réflexions, de vidéos (p. ex. YouTube) ou d’enregistrements audio (fichiers balados). La date de tombée du 30 septembre 2008 approche rapidement. Il faut donc se hâter ! |
