2010 Hall of Fame Neotelis International Career Service Award Winner Named
Every year, in addition to its Class of Telecom Laureates, the Hall of Fame recognizes the unsung men and women who have dedicated their careers to telecommunications organizations in Canada for the betterment of our industry overall. These individuals may not be widely known, but their contribution to telecommunications in Canada has shaped our country’s industry and in some cases furthered the global telecom community.
This year, the Hall of Fame is proud to announce its new sponsor – Neotelis Inc. – of a new category of Career Service Award, based on contributions by Canadians in the international telecom sector!

Dr. Bruce Gracie.

Dr. Bruce Gracie has had a stellar career with the Government of Canada, since 1974, working with the Department of Communications and then Industry Canada . He is probably best known internationally through the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) for his excellent management of various committees and working groups, and ultimately the chairmanship of ITU Council in 2006 as well as the ITU Radiocommunication Assembly in 2007, Chairman of the Radiocommunication Advisory Group from 2000-2007, Chairman of the Telecommunication Standardization Advisory Group since early 2010, and Chairman of the Commonwealth ITU Group since 2006.

Two Telecom Conferences and Inaugural Hall of Fame Lecture Luncheon
1st Annual Hall of Fame Lecture Luncheon
This year, Canada ’s Telecommunications Hall of Fame is proud to announce that it is working with two valued partners to shine an even brighter spotlight on Canada ’s telecommunications industry. The Hall of Fame and its partners will stage two separate telecom conferences interconnected by the 1st annual Hall of Fame Lecture Luncheon, Tuesday, November 9th, 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m., at the Westin Hotel, Ottawa.
The Hall of Fame Lecture Luncheon is a new Hall of Fame event timed in conjunction with our flagship event, the annual Telecom Laureate Awards gala dinner and induction ceremony. The Lecture Luncheon will feature industry leading experts from Canada and around the world speaking on key topics of interest and concern to the industry.
Attendance at the Hall of Fame Lecture Luncheon is open to all attendees of each of the telecom conferences (see information below). In addition, a limited number of seats are available to members of the telecom industry and the general public for $80.00/ticket. The 2010 Mobile Money Forum – A Canadian Perspective

Out of town guests attending the 2010 Telecom Laureate Awards gala at the Westin Hotel Ottawa may take advantage of special room rates by calling the hotel and booking reservations under the block of rooms reserved for Canada ’s Telecommunications Hall of Fame.
